Biography

Dr. Michael T. Stowell attended medical school at the University of Maryland in Baltimore on a military scholarship, and then completed an orthopaedic residency at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco. After two years of general orthopaedics with an emphasis on trauma and sports medicine at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Dr. Stowell completed a fellowship in hand surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where he finished his military commitment as a member of the teaching staff. He holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand and specializes in hand and upper extremity disorders.
