Two Divisions Merge Into Orthopaedic Specialists of Metropolitan Washington

Two divisions of The Centers, The Orthopedic Associates and the Orthopaedic Surgeons of Montgomery County, merged in June to form the Orthopaedic Specialists of Metropolitan Washington. 

Through their participation in The Centers, these practices were provided the opportunity to become familiar with each other and to merge more smoothly than is typical for competing private practices. The merger, which will provide additional efficiencies and sharing of overhead costs, will also allow the doctors to focus more closely on patient care.

The new Orthopaedic Specialists of Metropolitan Washington is located at 2101 Medical Park Drive, Suite 110, Silver Spring, MD.  

Drs. Jeffrey Abend, Steven Bleckner, Dexter Love and Zohair Alam constitute the new division and will be practicing out of that location. Dr. Robert Loeffler of Orthopedic Associates has announced his retirement after more than 40 years of distinguished practice.
