EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies

Electromyography (EMG) and NCS are tests that measure the activity of muscles and nerves. Typically performed and read by a neurologist, they not only evaluate common conditions such as pinched nerves, carpal tunnel syndrome and cubital tunnel syndrome, they also have the ability to help distinguish between multiple causes of nerve or muscle injury in more complicated cases.
