Corporate Column: Moving Forward with Momentum
At the launch of The Centers, there was a great sense of enthusiasm that echoed from members throughout the organization. Driven by our shared passion for empowering the private practice model to deliver the highest-quality and most compassionate care, this infectious spirit caught the attention of our medical peers, patients, insurance carriers and the media, both regionally and nationally. Today, we are at a critical juncture in the history of our young and promising organization. We have a tremendous opportunity to seize the moment, continuing to leverage our combined strength to drive efficiencies and become national leaders in delivering the best orthopaedic care. As with any great endeavor, reaching these lofty goals won’t be easy, but the rewards of our labor will be well worth it.
Before looking too far into the future, I think it’s important to take a moment to comprehend what we have already accomplished as an organization. In order to empower the private practice model to deliver the best personalized care to patients, The Centers has truly pioneered what no orthopedists have ever been able to do before – create the largest single specialty of orthopaedic surgeons in this region and quite possibly the United States.
Since officially launching in January, The Centers has seen exceptional growth and success across the board, especially in its ability to quickly form very positive relationships with an expanding group of patients and key stakeholders. Thus far, we have established an excellent framework for new business development, including our 25 members of the Board of Managers that have worked tirelessly to keep momentum alive across practices. And already we seek to implement a lasting structure for the organization that can anticipate challenges, seek growth areas and withstand the test of time.
As we continue to roll out a unified delivery of exceptional service to our patients, it is our goal as an organization to streamline best practices throughout The Centers, utilizing the vast knowledge and experience of each of our physicians. With more physicians taking active leadership roles in The Centers, we are well-poised to be leaders in the delivery of premier orthopaedic care, and a shining example to our peers of how private practice medicine can thrive through strength in numbers and a shared vision. I look forward to continuing to work together with all of you, and to toasting a very exciting year at our upcoming First Annual Meeting of The Centers.
