Two Divisions Welcome New Physicians

Dr. Zachary Weidner recently joined the Prince William Orthopaedics Division, treating patients out of offices in Manassas and McLean, Va. Dr. Weidner specializes in robotic-assisted joint replacement, partial and total knee replacement and direct anterior approach to hip replacement. He earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed a general surgery internship at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, followed by a four year residency at St. Luke’s in orthopaedic surgery. During his residency, he also fulfilled rotations in pediatrics and oncology, receiving the Resident Research Award. Following this training, he completed a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at the Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic in Alexandria, Va. He has multiple publications in peer reviewed journals and placed in the 94th percentile on Part 1 of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons Exam. The Bay Area Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Division has also recently welcomed Dr. Emeka Nwodim to its offices in Glen Burnie, Arnold and Kent Island, Md. Dr. Nwodim is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal reconstruction surgery, with additional areas of expertise in scoliosis, spine trauma, sports-related spine injuries, spine tumors and infection, motion-preservation spine surgery, disc herniation and replacement, spinal stenosis and decompression and degenerative diseases of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. A Maryland native, Dr. Nwodim received his medical degree and completed his residency at the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his fellowship at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. He is the recipient of numerous academic and professional awards and we are thrilled to have him join The Centers!
