RCM Update, Ladan Rykiel

To continue growing as a healthy organization, at both the divisional and corporate level, it is critical to address emerging issues and opportunities in revenue cycle management. The CAO RCM committee continues to meet on a weekly basis to identify and discuss best practices for efficient revenue management, and we are currently focused on four key initiatives:
- Providing all billing managers with training plan and initiatives to ensure they are comfortable with the Hyland process for recovering revenue. Melvin Wilson will be distributing an updated training schedule for those who are interested.
- Working with the AAPC to increase the number of certified medical coders across The Centers divisions. As part of this initiative, the RCM will bring an ICD-10 coding bootcamp to all CAO billing managers.
- Hosting a new orthopaedic coding session with Karen Zupko, of Karen Zupko & Associates, Inc. The workshop will be offered on March 17, 2016.
- Researching various practice management and EMR systems.
