Q: What is a Corporate Compliance Program?

A:  A Corporate Compliance Program is a system designed to detect and prevent violations of law, regulations, policies and  identify, mitigate and deter risks through policies and procedures, training, monitoring and auditing, and personal accountability.

Q:   Why does The Centers need a Corporate Compliance Program?

A:  The Centers’ Corporate Compliance Plan will:

  • Demonstrate CAO’s commitment to responsible conduct
  • Reduce the likelihood of violations
  • Provide a mechanism for identifying violations sooner rather than later and provides a procedure for reacting to them quickly and efficiently
  • Reduce the likelihood of heavy penalties if violations occur
  • Make CAO more efficient
