Dr. Edward McDevitt Elected to New Leadership Positions

Dr. Edward McDevitt of the Bay Area Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Division has recently been elected to the Executive Committee of The Herodicus Society, a sports society with only 100 members worldwide. As a member of the Executive Committee, Dr. McDevitt helps the organization make decisions on future actions. 

He was also elected as the Chair of the Hall of Fame Committee for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. In this role, he is charged with selecting members of the society who have made a lifelong commitment to sports medicine and caring for athletes. 

Finally, Dr. McDevitt serves as the President of the Irish American Orthopaedic Society, which generates fellowship between Irish Orthopaedic Surgeons and American, Australian and Canadian Orthopaedic Surgeons of Irish Heritage. The society also assists young Irish Orthopaedic Registrars. In this role, he recently ran an orthopaedic meeting in Westport, Ireland.
