Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute Care Center's Terry Comer Passed the BOC Certified Orthotic Fitter Assessment

In anticipation of changing regulations surrounding medical equipment products, many Ortho Techs are seeking accreditation of BOC Orthotic Fitter. Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute (MMI) Care Center’s Ortho Tech Terry Comer is the first at the care center to receive the accreditation. The certification recognizes that the tech has shown sufficient time in study, knowledge and experience to properly fit, adjust and modify custom and off the shelf DME items, braces and appliances.

While the accreditation is currently not required, MMI is ahead of the curve as changes are made to Medicare. Congratulations, Terry!
