Spine surgery can be done many ways, but in 2016, the best way is less invasive. Dr. O’Brien’s practice focuses on effective surgery with minimal impact on patients’ lives. He has practiced in Washington, DC since 2007 and endeavors to treat his patients like family. “When recommending surgery to a person, it’s important to consider what you would want if the roles were reversed.” As a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. O’Brien treats patients in need of spine surgery, or those who have surgery that was not effective. “My training at Johns Hopkins prepared me to help those who have complex cases. At this point, I’ve refined what I learned at Hopkins to be minimally invasive too.”
