Care Centers Going Live with Athena EMR System

The Chestertown Orthopedics care center and the Bay Orthopedic Associates care center went live with Athena on a new CAO-designed EMR in August. The two care centers have joined together on a single CAO tablespace. As they work through the new configuration, this could present itself as a template for future care centers that wish to collectively use one EMR tablespace to increase efficiencies and provide greater group reporting for CAO. The joint tablespace also presents care centers with opportunities to work with other large MCOs and leverage new payment structures.
