CAO Foundation Hosts 5th Annual Golf Classic
CAO Foundation Fifth Annual Golf Classic – Over 60 players hit the links on May 3rd for the 5th Annual CAO Foundation Golf Classic. The rain held off long enough for teams to play and raise $15,000 which in turn the foundation has given to the following organizations:
- Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse, an organization whose mission is to SUPPORT victims of domestic abuse to become empowered and live safely; EDUCATE the community about domestic abuse and appropriate responses; PREVENT future generations from suffering domestic abuse. JCADA is committed to providing high-quality services to all residents of the Greater Washington DC community without regard to race, national origin, ability, background, faith, gender or sexual orientation.
- Jump for Our Heroes Foundation, a benefit jumper show that raises money for Operation Second Chance (OSC), a local organization that helps ill, wounded and injured veterans.
- The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation for their Smart Home Program. This program builds mortgage-free smart homes for our most catastrophically injured service members. Each home is custom designed to address the unique needs of each individual. Smart homes host a myriad of features such as automated doors and lighting, wider halls and doorways, special showers to accommodate wheelchairs, automatic door openers, cabinets, counters, and stove tops that can be raised and lowered, back-up generators, and central heating and air conditioning systems that can be controlled by tablets. These homes enable our most severely injured heroes’ live better, more independent lives.
