CAO in the Community - Summer 2019

Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute had a busy summer! Check out some of the community activities they were a part of:

  • July 4th- Party in the Park - MMI Division celebrated with the Frederick community in Bakers Park on July 4th. We promoted health and wellness and enjoyed meeting with the residents of Frederick.

  • Keys Youth Baseball Camp: Session 1 (July) Session 2 (August) - Dr. Jepson came out to cheer the baseball players on and discuss heat illness and safety for the youth players.

  • Sports Physicals at Catoctin High School Athletes (July) - Free sports physicals were given to the athletes of Catoctin High School. Parents and students enjoyed meeting our physicians and helping them start the season off right.

  • MMI Kids Night with the Frederick Keys (July) - A fun time had by all at this annual event sponsored by MMI. Tickets were given to local children's organizations, pediatric patients, and MMI staff to enjoy a free night at the ball park.

  • Hand Safety/Band Camp: Walkersville High School (August) - Marisa Hombach, OTR/L, CHT educated band students at Walkersville High School on hand safety during band camp. Students enjoyed learning stretching techniques and ways to prevent injuries throughout the year.

  • Student Athlete Presentation Series #1 - The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics - MMI Division is proud to collaborate with former NFL Player Jelani Jenkins, Pivot Physical Therapy, Charm City Run Frederick, and Power Train in a presentation to the young athletes of our community. Dr. Matthew Jepson M.D. was on hand to educate parents and athletes on Sports Medicine related questions and problems.
