  • Anne Arundel Orthopaedic Surgeons welcomed Michael Anvari. Dr. Anvari is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon, fellowship-trained in joint replacement. He joins the care center with over 13 years of clinical experience.  He has a special interest in hip and knee joint reconstruction, including direct anterior total hip replacement, partial knee replacement, and revision procedures, with computer navigation and robotics expertise, and rapid rehabilitation protocols.

  • Robinwood Orthopaedics welcomed Kasey Rigby, PA-C. A graduate of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey Physician Assistant Program, Kasey will be working in the Frederick office.

  • Robinwood Orthopaedics welcomed Jean Guy-Yoma Souffrant, MD-MSPT. Dr. Souffrant is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician with fellowship training in interventional spine and sports medicine. He also has a combined BS/MS degree in physical therapy. Dr. Souffrant specializes in non-surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions; he has special interest in minimally invasive interventions for spine and joint-related pain, musculoskeletal ultrasound, electrodiagnostic studies, sports medicine and concussion management. Dr. Souffrant performs a full spectrum of injections as well as advanced pain management procedures to help decrease pain, improve function, mobility and the quality of life of his patients.

  • CAO Corporate Office is pleased to welcome Karen Mitchell as our new Senior Director of Human Resources. Karen is an accomplished healthcare human resources executive and leader, with nearly 20 years of increasing responsibilities in the industry, 15 of those at the Director and Vice President/Chief Human Resources Officer level.  Her qualifications and experience have led Karen to successfully position human resources to support the overall needs and strategies of an organization, leveraging technology and integrated HR best practices to drive results.  “It’s a privilege to join CAO and help to build and lead a corporate level human resources function that will serve all of our Divisions, supporting the mission and vision of CAO.  I’m looking forward to the great work we will do together to serve our patients and community.”  Born in Washington, DC and raised in southern Maryland, Karen recently relocated back to the DMV area with her husband Tim after raising her family in Florida.  Along with two college-aged children and two rescue dogs, Karen and Tim call Alexandria, VA, home.
