Dr. Christoforetti is a double board-certified orthopedic surgeon with over 15 years clinical experience serving active professional, collegiate, Olympic, and high school athletes as well as adult and adolescent patients. The excellent results of his arthroscopic surgery techniques have been published and presented around the world. He earned his medical degree and orthopedic surgical training at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and completed sports fellowship training at the prestigious Steadman-Hawkins Clinic. His first 12 years of university-level practice in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania earned him the title of Associate Professor at Drexel University College of Medicine. In 2018, he was recruited to Dallas/Fort Worth to develop an evidence-based, patient-centered sports medicine practice, initiate a fellowship education program, and care for professional soccer athletes at Texas Health Sports Medicine. He is the past team physician for Major League Soccer (FC Dallas) and consultant for athletic hip injury to the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Riverhounds, TCU, WVU, the University of North Texas.
