Sarah C. Trandel DNP, FNP-BC — Nurse Practitioner
Biography
Sarah Trandel is a doctoral-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner (Doctor of Nursing Practice) from the University of Maryland, with experience in managing a wide variety of acute and chronic health conditions including orthopedics and pain management. She provided pre- and post-surgical care at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington D.C., where she cared for general and orthopedic patients. In addition, her experience includes working at a Family Practice Clinic in Silver Spring where she provided primary and urgent care and later joining a musculoskeletal clinic focused on non-surgical, interventional joint and rehabilitation care for spinal, musculoskeletal, and orthopedic conditions.
She brings a holistic perspective to patient-centered care, aiming to improve patient outcomes through patient education and goal development, team input, coordination of care, and tailored patient care plans that encourage activity, function, and independence. Her approach leverages evidence-based practice and clinical guidelines to provide comprehensive assessments and treatments.
Sarah's passion and dedication for caring for orthopedic conditions is both professional and personal. She understands how important optimizing mobility and independence is to patients as well as their families. She strives to lead by example in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
