Carl Durias PA-C Physician Assistant

Biography

Carl’s love for surgery initially began as a registered nurse in the operating room. He attended The University of Maryland School of Nursing and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. He started working in 2008 as an Operating Room RN at Sibley Memorial Hospital for over 10 years specializing in orthopedic spinal surgeries and joint reconstruction. With eagerness for increased involvement in conservative and surgical management of patients, he returned to obtain his master’s degree attending The University of Maryland Baltimore Physician Assistant Program.

Upon graduation in August 2020, he joined Summit Orthopedics to work alongside Dr. Goldsmith focusing on spinal conditions. He focuses on conservative management of spinal pathologies as well as managing pre- and post-operative care of our patients. Carl is nationally board-certified and licensed in Maryland and the District of Columbia.

He loves cooking, especially for his wife and family. He has a dog and enjoys trail walking, mountain biking, golf, and tennis.
