Biography

Laura Baker is a board-certified Physician Assistant licensed in Maryland and Washington, D.C. She works at both office locations in conjunction with Dr. Peter Fitzgibbons aiming to be an extension of his thorough and advanced care.

Laura is from Montgomery County, MD. She completed undergraduate degrees in Life Science and Psychology at Pennsylvania State University and went on to attend Jefferson College of Health Sciences, graduating with her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. Upon graduation, she commissioned into the United States Navy and served nearly 5 years as an active-duty PA, and currently serves as a Navy Reservist. She has diverse clinical experience including primary care, acute care, female wellness, and general surgery. She has always had a special interest in orthopedics and particularly enjoys building relationships with patients. She is married with two young children who she enjoys spending time with and aspires to be a role model for.

Laura is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery and Naval Association of Physician Assistants.
