Biography

Jeffrey Gilsdorf, M.D. is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and specializes in sports medicine at the Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute (MMI) division in Frederick, Maryland. While he sees all manner of orthopaedic complaints and injuries, Dr. Gilsdorf is particularly interested in caring for athletes of all ages and skill levels.  He is currently the team physician for Linganore High School, Hood College and the Frederick Keys.  An avid runner and cyclist, Dr. Gilsdorf understands the desire to continue to compete even while injured and exercises keen judgment in the stop play vs. let play decisions for injured athletes.  While utilizing conservative measures whenever possible, when surgery is required, Dr. Gilsdorf has advanced training in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical techniques.
