Biography

Emmanuel Koli, M.D. is a board certified fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with specialty training in Sports Medicine, sports-related injuries, and Shoulder Surgery. In addition Dr. Koli holds a subspecialty certificate in Sports Medicine (CAQ) and is a Fellow of the Americal Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Koli specializes in the treatment of injuries involving the shoulder, knee, elbow, and hip. He also treats arthritis of the shoulder, knee, and hip. He has a particular interest in ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, ligament injuries, rotator cuff repair, shoulder instability, arthroplasty of the shoulder, knee, and hip, arthroscopy of the shoulder, knee, and hip, cartilage restoration, and joint preservation. His practice also includes general orthopedic care, including fracture care and nonoperative management of musculoskeletal injuries.

Dr. Koli received his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, Washington, D.C., a prestigious HBCU, graduating with honors. He then completed a rigorous five-year orthopedic surgery residency at Howard University Hospital, and was selected for a Sports Medicine fellowship at the Ochsner Sports Medicine Institute in New Orleans where he served as assistant team physician for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Dr. Koli has published several peer-reviewed orthopedic journal articles and educational posters. As medicine is constantly evolving and improving, he remains current on the latest advancements in orthopedic sports medicine to provide the most innovative, effective, and safest care for his patients. He is passionate about helping patients return to an active lifestyle, and his practice focuses on providing the highest level of individualized patient care.
