Biography

Christopher Salib, M.D., specializes in treating knee and hip pain at the Chesapeake Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Division in Hanover, Maryland. He emphasizes understanding each patient's unique perspective to provide optimal care. When necessary, he uses minimally invasive techniques to reduce pain and restore mobility, allowing patients to quickly return to an active lifestyle. His specialties include revising painful or failed joint replacements and addressing complex hip and knee issues.
Dr. Salib earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN, and completed his residency at the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopaedics in Baltimore, MD, and Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. He also completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA.
Dr. Salib is engaged in research on joint replacement surgery and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. He looks forward to helping his patients live their best life.
