Fellowship trained at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Dr. Mess trained under the direction of Jesse D. Delee, M.D. who is a nationally renowned Sports Medicine doctor. Dr. Mess, Jr. also studied under Dr. Charles Rockwood who is world renowned for shoulder surgery and Dr. David Schmidt. Dr. David Schmidt is the head team physician for the San Antonio Spurs which gave Dr. Mess, Jr. the opportunity to interact with the team during his training. He also sees patients at the Columbia, Maryland office and the Germantown, Maryland office.
