Biography

Dr. Gwinn is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with extensive training and experience in spine surgery. He served as Chief and Chairman of Orthopaedic Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he performed thousands of surgeries on combat injured active duty military members, including a tour in Afghanistan. He also served as Chief Orthopaedic Surgeon to the White House and Orthopaedic Surgeon to Congress.

Dr. Gwinn completed his spine surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic after finishing orthopaedic surgery residency at Walter Reed. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and completed medical school at The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed research papers and book chapters within his specialty.
