Biography

A Maryland native, David Jacobs, M.D., specializes in nonsurgical management of back and neck pain, and other musculoskeletal disorders. His clinical practice emphasizes treating these disorders with medication management, physical therapy, lifestyle changes, ultrasound-guided peripheral joint injections, and fluoroscopic-guided spine injections. Dr. Jacobs performs epidural steroid injections, facet and sacroiliac joint injections, medial branch nerve blocks, and radiofrequency ablation.

Dr. Jacobs graduated from Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and Care Network/University of Chicago's residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and he was fellowship-trained in Pain Medicine at the Henry Ford Health System.

Dr. Jacobs takes a patient-centric approach to improve the quality of life and function of his patients. As a result, on the first visit he will focus on understanding their unique medical history. Dr. Jacobs will then work with his patients to develop a treatment plan tailored to one’s needs and lifestyle, and provide treatment options to consider.  

Dr. Jacobs’ interests include hiking, rooting for the Commanders, and trying new foods.
