Biography

Zinon Pappas, M.D. specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute (MMI) in Frederick, Maryland. He treats a wide variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions and injuries non-surgically.  His practice includes the evaluation and management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders, spinal disorders, sports injuries, neurologic disorders, management of acute and chronic pain and orthopaedic post-operative care. Dr. Pappas performs fluoroscopically guided epidural, facet and sacroiliac joint injections, as well as Electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies. Dr. Pappas likes to educate his patients regarding treatment options, making sure they understand the risks and benefits, recognizing that everyone responds to treatments differently.  He looks at the whole patient to understand what is going on medically and then works together with the patient on the appropriate treatment.
