“If I could give 10 stars to Dr. Boden I would. I called Dr. Boden‘s office and was able to get in to see Dr. Boden. The pain was unbearable. Dr. Boden came in and looked through my medical history and detailed examine me and listened very patiently to my constraints. He explained the reason of my pain and the symptoms, answered every question I had. His unlimited medical experience and diagnosis stunned me. He gave me a shot for comfort and with his kind words and scheduled me a follow up visit , he asked me to call him if the pain continued, making sure that all my questions were answered. His bedside manner and concerned about my health condition. Stunned me. I have seen a lot of doctors in the past 50 years, but I’ve never experienced this genuine concern, and good care that I have received from this miracle doctor and his staff. Now I am pain-free and blessed with a great doctor. I recommend Dr. Boden and his staff very highly to anyone that is seeking a great orthopedic doctor.”

“Dr. Boden is an excellent surgeon, extremely kind, patient and caring. Dr. Boden explains what is happening in Laymans terms and went through conservative procedures before going to operate on my knee. Dr. Boden called me the day after surgery to check how I was. In the follow-up, he is very thorough with exercises, correct any issues, and encouraging. He wants you as active as you can possibly by doing physiotherapy and exercises. I only found Dr. Boden by chance looking for a surgeon for my knee by looking online. I got very lucky and wouldn’t hesitate recommending anyone for knee or shorter promise to Dr. Boden. “As far as I’m concerned, I wouldn’t work with any other surgeon for a knee surgery other than Dr. Barry Boden. Dr. Boden was understanding and compassionate and receptive to my needs as his patient. His professionalism and positive outlook on my progress was comforting during my initial diagnosis, on the day of surgery and with my aftercare. “Dr. Boden is fantastic. I have been under his care for a little over 1 year for a painful and persistent shoulder injury that required 2 surgeries at another center. During the initial diagnostic phase, Dr. Boden advocated strongly for conservative treatment initially and only discussed surgery when those methods failed.
“He personally calls you the morning after surgery to check and see how you are doing and explain exactly what was done. overall, he is extremely thorough, very knowledgeable and talks to his patients in layman’s terms that they can understand. He will always spend as much time with you that you think is necessary in an appointment, even if it means falling a little bit behind schedule.
“His bedside manner is one of the best I have ever experienced. Staff at the Rockville location is fantastic. They are always super duper busy managing the practice, but always have time to answer questions and always do so with a smile.”

“I came to see him after having shoulder pain for about 6 months. After evaluating all of my symptoms, he sent me to PT for a month, then ordered an MRI, which was inconclusive. I saw him a month later due to continued pain and he left it up to me to decide whether or not I wanted surgery. I did, he fixed my shoulder and within 3 weeks I had 100% range of motion and virtually no pain. My only regret is not going to see him sooner!

The report certainly backs up that it was necessary and explains why I have been having so much pain. Also, now that there is a CT scan needed because of the possible mass that was visible, thank you again for following through with Cigna to get this approved so quickly.

“Dr. Boden was fantastic! I had no cartilage in my right knee as a result of running and arthritis. But after consulting with Dr. Boden for a year, and finally choosing to have a knee replacement, I underwent the surgery in December 2012. Dr. Boden was patient and informative, he explained all phases of the procedure, and he was encouraging as I made up my mind.
“I couldn’t be happier! My family, friends, and co-workers have commented on how lucky I was to have found someone with his expertise and wonderful track record. He was a great surgeon, and I had no complications from the surgery. Within three weeks, I was in outpatient rehabilitation, and a month after surgery, I was walking unassisted. At the end of three months, I completed outpatient rehabilitation, I had no pain, my gait was normal, and my knee felt better than it had in many years. Now, with exercise and strength training, I am embarking on a new bicycling hobby.

“Dr. Boden is one of those rare experts who has a fantastic personality and knows how to describe his expertise with down to earth knowledge. He even calls personally the day after the surgical procedures to follow up on personal care and concerns.
“He took me from deep pain in my knee before surgery, to walking with minimal pain within two weeks. All this coming from a orthopedic physician who gives back to the community and is proud of it. One could wonder how he could remain so humble and be so good.
