Biography
James Steinberg, D.O. is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and specializes in sports medicine at the Mid-Maryland Musculoskeletal Institute (MMI) division in Frederick, Maryland. His fellowship in Sports Medicine and Traumatology makes him an invaluable asset to athletes and others with serious musculoskeletal injuries. He has special interests in reconstructive procedures of the knee, including joint replacement surgery. Dr. Steinberg is currently a team physician for the Frederick Keys and Tuscarora High School. He has published numerous papers in orthopaedic literature and presented at numerous conferences on various topics, including a new state of the art technique to repair fractures of the femur and a new technique to reduce blood loss during surgery.
